The 2005 Mitsubishi Eclipse remains unchanged for the new model year, with all models carrying over except for the base model RS coupe, which is no longer available.

The base GS model comes with a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine with 147 horsepower; GT coupes have a 3.0-liter V-6 engine with 300 horses; GT Spyders and GTS trims have the same V-6 engine packed with 10 more horses, at 310.

Some of the standard features on all 2005 Mitsubishi Eclipse hatchbacks include: dual front airbags, power mirrors, windows and locks, AC, cruise control, remote keyless entry, split folding rear seat. 2005 Eclipse Spyders and GTs add an Infinity sound system, steering-wheel radio control, and a power top/power sunroof.
